The band Le Paon was born from a meeting in Milan between Marion Corrales and the Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi, who opened the doors of his home studio to her and helped her record her very first demo—an intimate piece, also titled "Le Paon ." The audience at her first concerts took such a liking to this song that they ended up renaming her after it. The singer has kept the name ever since. Then, with the electronic music producer Jen Jis (Sting, Melody Gardot, Feder), she created "Jamais Assez" (Never Enough ) about addiction to a loved one, "Tomber dans la neige" (Falling in the Snow) about money and emptiness, "Cerveau droit" (Right Brain ) about communication, "Blonde" about hatred of women, and "Douche froide" (Cold Shower) about street harassment.
